What a strange year for retail. When those snowfalls and poor early Spring weather came on top of a generally Brexit induced depression, retail in the UK hit the depths of the crash of 2008.
Now we've enjoyed the longest and best Summer for over 40 years. Yet, hot weather can also have a detrimental effect on retail activity. This year we can't win.
With Summer having stabilised sales, let's hope we can look forward to a bumper Christmas Quarter. With that in mind, Mistletoe House will be sending out a pdf of a Christmas / Winter supplement in September. Look out for it.
